Our approach

We believe more people should have access to well designed, healthy homes that won’t adversely impact our natural world and the environment.

Founder and architect John Damant in front of the Suburban Farmhaus

Econests by arcologic is the unique vision of John Damant of Arcologic Design who has spent the past two decades working towards a better way of designing and delivering sustainable homes.

Since 2000, Arcologic has been at the forefront of sustainable home design in Western Australia with multiple awards and competition wins behind our name.

To deliver our vision of Econests, we team up with carefully selected builders in areas we serve. Our initial building partnership is with Tallwood Custom Built Homes who build our Econests in the South West of Western Australia.

Together we aim to transform the way sustainable homes are offered and delivered in this unique part of Australia.

Why Econests ?

“ The idea of designing from a blank slate is intimidating and we were worried about the additional costs and approvals process of custom design“

Dane and Mai, Witchcliffe Ecovillage

  • "I have been in my new home for two weeks today, I couldn't be happier ! Love everything about it, the views over the dam, high ceilings, large doors, light over the kitchen bench. Thanks for all your support over the build "

    Gaye, Witchcliffe Ecovillage

  • "We found John to be inspiring in his approach to house design. He presented us with a unique design that made the most of the block and use of weather elements to create an inspiring, eco-friendly, energy efficient house while still taking advantage of the breath-taking views"

    Tony & Lisa, Leschenault

  • " John listened to our wish list carefully and came up with a design that fits both our personalities. We are so happy in this house, it feels right for us and a big thank you for such a clever design to John and the team at Arcologic.
