Inspired in equal part by the simple barn like structures of the region and the design rigour of Mid Century Modern , the BARN.house collection is for those who appreciate the finer things in life but still want to live responsibly.

With high ceilings opening up to verandahs on three sides, these homes are filled with natural light and open the senses to the environment beyond. Natural timbers, rammed earth walls and burnished concrete floors provide a sophisticated simplicity that is both timeless and welcoming. A generous Chef’s kitchen is at the heart of the home which lends itself to entertaining family and friends, while careful zoning of the bedrooms allow privacy and retreat.

Available in a 2 x 2 + Study, 3 x 2 + Study or 4 x 2 configuration and suitable for Family and Garden Lots.

Abodo ‘Vulcan’ timber cladding

We use FSC* thermally modified timber cladding from Abodo to comply with the strict sustainability criteria of the Ecovillage. Low maintenance, termite resistant and with a warranty of 25 years, Vulcan timber cladding is one of the most sustainable building materials available and sequesters carbon for the lifetime of the building.

Scyon ‘Axon’ F/C Cladding

The Scyon ‘Axon’ range of fibre cement cladding has been accepted by the Ecovillage as satisfying he strict criteria of the Design Guidelines and having a detailed EPD* demonstrating life cycle and sustainability.. Reminiscent of rural barns in the area, the Axon cladding is painted and has a warranty of 25 years. It is also fire rated up to a BAL 40 making it suitable for any lot within the Ecovillage
